We are pleased to announce that ProVu have been short listed as a finalist in the Comms Business ‘Distributor of the Year’ Award 2014. There were originally twenty four distributors nominated for the award and as a result of the readers vote we are now down to the last five.

This year’s awards will take place on the 19th June at the Lancaster Hotel in London …wish us luck

Upcoming bank holidays – despatches and deliveries

We hope everyone is looking forward to the upcoming bank holidays. Please note we will be closed on:

  • Good Friday 19th April
  • Easter Monday 21st April
  • Bank holiday Monday 5th May
  • Bank holiday Monday 26th May

Despatches and deliveries will not be made on these days. APC can deliver on Saturday mornings over the bank holiday weekends, this can be done on request prior to despatch and will be charged at the standard Saturday delivery surcharge see our Saturday delivery prices.

Royal Mail and other courier services estimated delivery times will also be affected.

2N visual alerting intercoms

At the end of 2013 2N launched a range of new Visual Alerting IP intercoms. These are available in both the IP Force and IP Uni ranges.

These models include three simple icons with LED lights which signal the status of the IP intercom.

Orange = ringing | Blue = in call | Green = door released

The intercoms are ideal for installation in hospitals and other public buildings as they help to support the needs of people with hearing difficulties or impaired orientation ability.

Yealink compatible headsets

Yealink have produced a very handy document, listing compatible DECT / wireless, wired and bluetooth headsets for their range of IP desk phones.

There is a wide selection of tested headsets from the leading headset manufacturers including Plantronics, Sennheiser and Jabra. The document outlines which adaptors and cables are required for compatibility.

ProVu appointed distributor for Sangoma’s voice cards

We are delighted to announce that ProVu have been appointed UK distributor for the Sangoma range of analogue, digital and ISDN telephony cards. As you may be aware ProVu have been distributing the Sangoma range of Vega gateways since 2012 and now with sales rapidly expanding we are pleased to be strengthening our partnership with Sangoma and being able to bring our channel partners a wider range of products for connecting IP PBX systems and services to legacy PSTN lines.

Sangoma have over the last ten years built an excellent reputation for supplying the highest quality telephony cards. These cards have proved to be the professionals choice when connecting open source systems such as Asterisk to both analogue and ISDN lines. snom increases the warranty of it’s IP desk phones

Great news snom have increased it’s warranty for its IP desktop phones from one to two years. The warranty applies to snom phones purchased from ProVu from July 1st 2013 and onwards.

The products covered under the new extended warranty are:
• snom 3xx series (300, 320 and 370)
• snom 7xx series (710, 720 and 760)
• snom 8xx series (821 and 870)
• PA1 paging device

This increased warranty period reaffirms our confidence in the reliability of the snom range of phones and protects customer’s investment as well as lowering the customers total cost of ownership on snom products.
