Introducing the new Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speaker

Algo’s new 8188 SIP ceiling speaker is now in stock and available to order from ProVu. Expanding on their SIP alerting systems, Algo’s 8188 SIP ceiling speaker provides an attractive solution for voice paging, loud ringing, emergency notification and background music in environments such as; retail, education, healthcare and manufacturing.

Utilising wideband G.722 codec support, the 8188 provides optimum speech clarity and intelligibility in a HD voice environment. With an integrated microphone which enables talkback and listens for ambient noise, the 8188 automatically increases page volume when necessary, enabling a consistent ratio of page to ambient noise level.

Cost Effective and Scalable

Deployed as a SIP endpoint, the 8188 can be configured to multicast to any number of additional speakers, providing cost-effective scalability as well as minimising network traffic. Multicast can be simply accessed through Algo’s web interface which offers a range of management features.

ProVu Apprentice Luke Warby Wins ‘Apprentice of the Year’!

Our very own Technical Support Apprentice, Luke Warby was named ‘Apprentice of the Year’ last week in the Kirklees College COLS (College Outstanding Learner Success) Awards.

The awards took place at the Kirklees College Huddersfield Centre on 10th December where 39 students enjoyed a glamorous evening to celebrate their achievements.

Luke joined ProVu in October 2014 and has quickly become a valuable member of the team. We are very proud of his achievements so far – Congratulations Luke!

Since joining the apprenticeship scheme with Kirklees College, we have recruited three apprentices to date, all of whom are making a great impact to our workforce.

Gigaset DE Series End of Life Notice

We would like to inform all ProVu resellers that we have received an end of life notice from Gigaset for their current DE series of IP PRO desk phones. This includes the DE310, DE410, DE700 and DE900 models. We are currently holding stock of these phones and expect to be able to supply these until the end of the year. However, we have been informed that Gigaset’s stock levels are limited, should you have any sizeable demand for these models please let us know.

The replacement models have been confirmed as the Maxwell 3, Maxwell Basic and Maxwell 4; we do not expect to launch these products until at least April 2016.
