New Online Sark Training Course

ProVu are pleased to announce the launch of an online training course for Sark PBX resellers and installers.

Online training is a new endeavour for us but we believe it will soon be an important part of our customer support package for the following reasons:

  • there’s no need to resellers to take a day (or more) out of their office

  • it can be completed in your own time over as long a period as you want

  • it is always available as a reference tool, even after completing the courses

  • training materials can be skipped if some parts are too easy or re-read/re-watched if some parts are difficult

  • no need to wait for a scheduled training day – online training is available as soon as you want it

  • no travel expenses!

This training course consists of a series of videos followed by a practical exercise and finally a multiple-choice quiz. There are four sections structured like this in the whole course.

The training is intended for technical support staff, installers and systems integrators. If you are interested in sales training then please get in touch and we’ll organise this for you.

We believe the best way of learning is by doing so this is still very much a practical training course and you will need a SARK200 PBX and some phones just like the on-site training we have held in the past.

We are likely to be running some deals along the lines of free training with purchase of a not-for-resale Sark PBX.

The online training will also be available at no extra cost to anyone who has completed one of our Sark training days in the past. Please email us to gain access.

IX Leeds 4

IX Leeds are holding their 4th event on 4th December 2014. The event is free to attend and is being held at AQL in Leeds.

IX Leeds is an internet connection point is Leeds. It allows networks to peer in a neutral location. Peering is settlement free interconnect of internet providers. That’s the techie bit.

The other bit is that community around the internet exchange. If you are interested in how the internet works, or you work for a ISP, or you want to be an ISP, or your business depends on the internt, then come along and meet the people behind making the internet better in the north of England.

(If you are an ITSPA member, then the date conflicts with the ITSPA christmas lunch in London, so double check your diaries)

Convergence Summit South October 2014

Another successful trip to London for the Convergence Summit South. It was great to meet some of our new and existing customers for the first time as well as catching up with those we have met before. Everyone’s stall was fantastic and we had a great time!

A big thank you to everyone who came to see us at our stand, we’d also like to thank the vendors who were there to support us – Sangoma, Yealink, Gigaset, Snom and 2N. We look forward to the next one!

The ProVu team will be exhibiting at this years Convergence Summit South on 8th & 9th October at Sandown Park Racecourse. This is our 2nd year of exhibiting at the show, and we find its a great vehicle for meeting and catching up with many of our existing resellers as well as new ones all under one roof. This year we will be displaying the latest IP phones and gateways from Gigaset, Sangoma, snom and Yealink.

ITSPA Awards 2014

Another great evening at this years ITSPA Awards. It was fantastic to see many of our partners and vendors win Awards.

ProVu sponsored the “Best VoIP Innovation” Award category, this was won by Voipfone for their innovative GeoDivert Smartphone App.

Soho 66 won two Highly Commended titles, the first was for Best Business ITSP (Small Enterprise), the second was for the Most Innovative VoIP Product/Service for their “Quvu” service.

Babelisk also got a highly commendable title for the Best VoIP Infrastructure Award for their fantastic Bdeye billing software.

Localphone took the Best Consumer VoIP award.

Gradwell took the Best Business ITSP (Small Enterprise) award

Telappliant took the Best Business ITSP (Medium Enterprise) award

snom also got recognition and highly commendable title for their fantastic 7xx Series range of IP desk phones.
