BT Wholesale Approved Routers

As of April 2016 BT Openreach have changed their FTTC installation process. This has meant they no longer supply or install their modem for FTTC connections. Service providers now need to supply VDSL2 modems that connect to the BT phone socket.

Due to popular demand we have added two Technicolor routers to our portfolio that have BT Wholesale approval.

These are the TG588v v2 and the TG589vac. Both routers support ADSL2+, VDSL and are ideal for Fibre to the Cabinet scenarios. The TG589vac also features IEEE 802.11ac wireless standard for the 5 GHz band, enabling even higher throughput and better Wi-Fi coverage.

The TG589vac also features a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Ports where as the TG588v v2 features 4 Fast Ethernet LAN Ports.

We offer a router set-up service for our resellers. For a small charge we can pre-provision either generic or customer specific settings to your routers prior to despatch. This enables fast and smooth installation at your customer’s site.

We have been given an end of life notice from Gigaset for their DE IP desk phone series. We are running low on stock of the DE310, DE410, DE700 and DE900 IP models. When we do run out of our current stock there will be no further supplies available. Current stock levels can be seen on ProSys.

2N IP Force Model Changes

You will already be aware of the large range of models available of 2N’s IP Force intercom.

2N have decided to simplify their range slightly by adding a HD camera and phasing out the 1-Watt speakers in favour of more powerful and easily audible 10-Watt speakers.

This means that a few ordering codes have gone, or will be going, end-of-life, to be replaced by the newer codes.

If you have already been ordering these new part codes, then nothing will change, however the 10-Watt speaker models have been running in tandem with the older models for a while, resulting in 10-Watt speaker models with non-HD cameras, 9151101CW for example, also going end of life.

We had some larger projects after this post was originally published where we were still able to get hold of the older models from 2N, however as of 31st December 2016 this is no longer possible – only the ones left in stock are available.

Snom 300 ‘End of Life’ Notice

We have received an end of life notice from Snom for their Snom 300 model. We believe we have sufficient stock levels available that will enable us to continue supplying this model until the end of May 2016. However, this is subject to demand and is based on our usual run rates. We will keep you informed of the expected end of life date as we clear the last remaining stock.
