The 4 Tools of ProSys

ProSys is made up of 4 distinct tools which have been refined to make the delivery of Customer-premises equipment (CPE) simple; saving you time and money.

Ordering, Provisioning, Management and Integration are the four tools that make up ProSys. With flexibility in mind, ProSys allows you to pick and choose which features your business needs. With no start up or commitment costs, ProSys offers you the choice of which tools are right for you.

Growing year on year and strength to strength, ProSys has seen more businesses integrating it as a key component of their ordering process. Don’t just take our word for it though, take a look at how ProSys users did in 2020.

The 4 Tools

Ordering

Product ordering and selection is effortless with a simple search feature, allowing you to quickly find the products you need and see real-time pricing & availability for each product. ProSys is also able to automatically calculate the appropriate carriage to your chosen address as you build your order.

Even better, ProSys gives you the option to directly drop-ship your orders straight to your customers’ site along with your personalised branded despatch note, where you can include your own company logo and contact details. This means you don’t need a warehouse to house products making life a little bit easier for your business.

Through ProSys Ordering you have access to multiple delivery options from DPD, APC and more, including priority timed service options. Allowing ProSys to offer you a service for every eventuality.

Provisioning

Developed in house the ProSys provisioning platform is an award winning system that works across leading SIP hosted telephony platforms as well as leading brands of IP phones and routers. Allowing you to automatically provision your ordered devices with custom settings and ship them directly to customers. This zero-touch service allows out-of-the-box connectivity, simply power up and connect to the internet, with no manual set-up. ProSys adopts secure client certification methods of provisioning, ensuring the highest level of security for your provisioned devices.

Our support team will work with you to create your customised provisioning templates with all the standard provisioning settings you require for your customers hardware.

For our resellers who already have access to a 3rd Party provisioning platform we are able to simply provision the provisioning server URL on to your devices, so that when they are plugged in for the first time, they are redirected to get all the settings required.

By eliminating the need for manual set ups, ProSys saves you unnecessary set up costs, as well as reducing customer support times. With next day delivery as standard, you and your customers can enjoy the very best, hassle-free experience.

Management

Once devices have been provisioned with ProSys you are able to manage their settings remotely via the management tool. Giving your support staff the ability to view and manage your entire deployment of phones and routers as well as access information such as:

  • View and monitor all deployed phones & routers
  • Search for phones by MAC address or phone number
  • Edit settings eg. change SIP username and passwords
  • Manage phone & router firmware upgrades in a controlled manner
  • Keep logs of phone & router status and errors
  • Maintain log of firmware updates

ProSys also allows you to adopt phones that have been purchased elsewhere. With simple and easy adoption process, we are able to add your existing devices on to the provisioning platform, allowing you to see and manage all your deployed devices in one place.

Automate your invoice data inputting processes

Did you know we have an invoice data API which gives a data feed of all recent invoices and credit notes.

The API returns a JSON document, which can then be fed directly to your accounting software to automate inputting of ProVu invoices and credit notes.

This is just one of our many APIs that our resellers have access to – check out more information about the other ProVu APIs available for you to use.

Power Supply data in ProVu’s API

The majority of SIP phones we supply are PoE, therefore many manufacturers have made the decision not to include a power supply as standard. Over the last few months we have seen an extraordinary demand for power supplies in response to the dramatic increase in remote working, power supplies can be a vital component in ensuring the best WFH set up.

We’ve recently extended our product information and ordering APIs to make it easier for our resellers to access information about UK power supplies for the phones we supply. This information is ready for you to use, making ordering even simpler.

How does it work?

For phones that don’t include a power supply as standard, we give you the part code of the required UK power supply in our product information API. You can then simply pass a setting with your API order request to auto include the associated UK PSU. You can request this either on a line-by-line basis or for the entire order.

The Benefits…

The advantage of using our data is if the power supply changes or new phones are listed, the data will be maintained by us and therefore there will be no need to update your data or code – giving you one less thing to worry about!

Information on accessing this data and ordering power supplies can be found in our API documentation. This can be found on ProSys. If you do not have a ProSys account or have forgotten your password, please complete our ProSys registration form.

If you would like to discuss how we can help you simplify your CPE fulfilment and management process and find out more about our APIs, please contact us on 01484 840048.

Automate your web store with ProVu’s API

We have a number of APIs available for our resellers to utilise. These can help you to build your website and/or integrate with your CRM. Integrating your systems with ours can help to significantly simplify the process of getting important, up to date product information from us, as well as allowing your customers/staff to place their orders directly with us via your own online interface. Take a look at some of the benefits of using ProVu APIs.

Our APIs have been developed in-house and are constantly being updated and expanded to meet the requirements our resellers. The APIs are simple to use and can be integrated with almost all systems out there.

In this blog, we are going to look more closely at the following APIs: Product Information, Product Categories and Ordering as these tend to be the common starting points for integration.

Product Information API
There is a lot of information you can pull about the products we supply, this data can help in the building of your webstore.

Part code ProVu’s product name – this is a unique name given to each item, which is required to place orders. We can even store your own part code if you require or you can simply map these across.
Brand / Class For example Snom and Yealink.
Product Name A short concise product name.
Product Description This is a longer product description, which you can use to quickly build your product information web pages.
Product Range Some manufacturers have different ranges of products, where possible we store this information for you to use. For example, for Yealink we have T2, T4, T5 and CP. These can help to sub-categorise items within a brand/class on you website.
Retail Price Recommended retail price, this is guidance as to what you may want to charge your customers.
Your Price Your discounted trade price, this could be used with the retail price to calculate your sales out pricing to make sure you are making enough margin.
Available Stock Real-time quantity of stock available.
Item Weight Weight stored in kg can be used to help calculate shipping charges.
MPN Manufacturer’s part number/SKU.
EAN This field provides information about EAN/UPC/GTIN which is generally required for web stores using Google shops, shopify etc. You can differentiate between EAN and UPC number quite easily – if the number is 12 digits long it’s a UPC and if it’s 13 digits long it will be an EAN.

We also have a developers guide of how use our product images and datasheets to display on your own site.

Product Categories API
We provide a number product categories for example IP Desk Phone and IP Conference Phones with a list of applicable items, this can be used as a quick way to build your product menus and navigation within your web store if you wish.

Ordering API
An order can be placed by simply passing a unique order reference, list of ordered items and required quantities to us.

There is a number of other things you can tell us about your order using our ordering API:

  • Drop ship details including address and contact details
  • Drop ship branding (see more information on our Branded Shipping services)
  • Carrier service
  • Provisioning settings

It doesn’t stop here, we have more APIs available for our resellers including Order details, Invoices, Device status and Device management API – Take a look to find out more.

Using our product images on your website

We quite often receive requests from resellers who want to use the product images of the kit we supply on their own website.

We host different sized images and product datasheets for lots of the products we sell, these are stored logically using our product part codes, this means they can be easily accessed and pulled for use on your website.

It’s pretty simple really!

We have produced a guide for programmers which will explain everything you need to know so you can start integrating images into your own website.

Download the guide here: Using ProVu’s product images

We try our best to store images for all of our products, but if there is anything that you come across that is missing and you would like to access, please let us know and we will do our best to add the images to our library.
