2N NetSpeaker: Centrally Managed Audio Broadcasting System

The NetSpeaker from 2N is a cost effective IP audio solution and is ideal for food and retail chains with many locations. The system allows them to centrally store all their audio media, background music, Internet radio, adverts and safety notices plus do live announcements.They can then stream this content to any or all locations that can be set up in regional zones. The big incentive for these companies is that it massively reduces their costs for back ground music and radio etc as they only need to buy one stream as an input to the 2N system. They can also generate revenues by selling advertising to their suppliers which in some cases means the system will pay for it self within 12 months.

2N visual alerting intercoms

At the end of 2013 2N launched a range of new Visual Alerting IP intercoms. These are available in both the IP Force and IP Uni ranges.

These models include three simple icons with LED lights which signal the status of the IP intercom.

The intercoms are ideal for installation in hospitals and other public buildings as they help to support the needs of people with hearing difficulties or impaired orientation ability.

2N Helios free online training courses running throughout January and February

Whether you are currently a reseller of 2N IP Helios Intercoms or considering looking to source and support 2N going forward you’ll be pleased to hear that you can take part in free basic & advanced online training courses.
Basic training provides the technical overview of whole Helios range, which will allow you to choose the right version of the product and perform the installation. Advanced training is focused on advanced product functions and troubleshooting.

All trainings are run by 2N and carried out in English using GoToMeeting platform (requires small application installation). Further information and available training times can be found here

Requirements: Elementary network knowledge (IP address, LAN, WAN, VoIP, SIP)

How to: 2N Door Entry and Cisco UC540

One of our customers recently had a problem with an analogue version of the 2N Helios Force door entry unit that they had connected up to a Cisco UC540 system.

Calls were initiated with no problems but the system was not sending disconnect tones to the door entry unit, meaning that the call wasn’t ended until the button was pressed for a second time.

The solution ended up being quite simple! You need to change the analogue port settings in the UC540 to a managed user extension rather than a standard analogue port. The system should now disconnect the call properly when the call is hung up.

ProVu are delighted to announce we have reached agreement with Czech based Telecom manufacturer 2N to distribute their range of IP Door Entry Intercoms.

With the rapidly growing demand for SIP compatible door entry systems for both hosted telephony providers and on site IP PBX systems the 2N products significantly broadens the range of systems we currently offer.

The Range
2N not only have the Uni and Vario models with many different button, keypad and RFID combinations.



They also have the IP Force and Safety ranges that will enable resellers to offer robust solutions in to very different applications, such as: Public areas in Airports and stations or even Motorway emergency booths.



Interoperability
We have run extensive interoperation tests with a number of leading hosted providers plus several IP PBX systems including Asterisk and 3CX and found the 2N products fully compatible and really easy to set up.
