We have received a new batch of Yealink T19PN from Yealink these have now been updated and are called the Yealink T19PN E2.

We’ve tested the new Yealink T19E2 and it seems to provision OK for us and is able to make calls.

Differences from what we can see:

• It has it’s own firmware version and you cannot downgrade it to older versions (this will be a problem for ITSPs who have approved an older firmware on their platform).
• It says “T19 E2” on the front of it.
• It reports itself as a different model number when provisioning (which could cause problems for people who have implemented their own provisioning systems).

Over the past few month Yealink have introduced some exciting new products to their range of SIP desk phones. With this has meant that we’ve had to say goodbye to some of the older models. Below is an end-of-life notice showing which products will be going and their new recommended replacements.

Stock has already run out on some of the eol models but there is still stock remaining of others, please contact our sales team or login to ProSys for up to date stock availability.

There will be no further production or shipments of the Yealink T22PN and T28PN. Therefore both these models will be going end of life as soon as our current stock levels are exhausted. But we have for you an exciting new range of new products from Yealink.

T23GN
The T23GN has replaced the T22PN. The T23GN is an attractive alternative to the T22PN as it offers a new larger phonebook increased from 300 to 1000 entries, new dual coloured (red & green) LED buttons for more effective BLF and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports.

For the T28PN there is a choice of the T27PN or T29GN.

T27PN
The T27PN comes at a lower price point but with the advantage of 8 paperless functions keys which can be used for various programmable features including up to 21 BLFs.

T29GN
If you want to go up in the range the T29GN comes at a slightly higher price than the T28PN but offers a large colour screen, 10 paperless function keys which can be used for up to 27 BLFs. Plus it has Gigabit pass through and support for a Bluetooth headset via the BT40 Bluetooth Dongle.

Today Yealink UK have announced the pending arrival of the new T27PN IP desk phone and the CP860, Yealink’s first IP conference phone.

Stock is due to be available in the UK early April 2015.

On Thursday 27th November 2014 at 14:00 GMT we will be performing an upgrade of our Yealink provisioning service.

We don’t envisage this causing any appreciable downtime. Just please be aware that if you are deploying phones at this time there may be a delay in provisioning.

The good news is that once this has been done, we will be able to offer an extra layer of security using HTTPS client certificates in Yealink phones that support this.

Today Yealink revealed the latest developments with Broadsoft:

We are please to announce that Yealink has strengthened its relationship with BroadSoft to simplify phone deployment for Service Providers who host Unified Communications services.

This means that Yealink and BroadSoft will now work together closely on the interoperability of their products to provide, among other things, pre-integrated SIP telephony solutions for hosted VoIP applications.

Based on BroadSoft’s Unified Communications capabilities, Yealink has developed the T4 series of IP phones supplying carriers with crucial application features.
The T4 series phones have already passed the TIA-920 certification standard, which guarantees that they will give customers perfect high-fidelity sound.
